This custom screened-in porch in Rockingham County, NC, gives the homeowners a comfortable outdoor space for relaxing and entertaining. A gable roof connects the addition to the home’s architecture, while the existing double French doors provide direct access from inside. Large screened openings welcome fresh air and views of the surrounding landscape while keeping insects out.
Pressure-treated framing wrapped in AZEK PVC trim and column coverings pairs with TimberTech composite decking to reduce routine upkeep. A vaulted ceiling finished with AZEK tongue-and-groove boards adds height and architectural character. Electrical receptacles, provisions for future electrical needs, and television cable wiring make the space practical for everyday use and entertaining.

BARNDOMINIUM INTERIOR
CUSTOM BARNDOMINIUM INTERIOR FINISHES
This barndominium in Rockingham County, NC, combines an open floor plan with natural wood and custom finish details. Starting with framed walls and newly hung drywall, the interior was finished with 1" x 6" V-groove pine ceilings, custom trim, and oversized crown molding throughout. Solid wood four-panel Shaker-style doors with transom windows carry natural light between spaces and complement the home’s rustic character.
The U-shaped kitchen features white custom solid wood cabinetry, black granite countertops, and a stainless-steel tile backsplash. A large peninsula offers seating along two sides for meals and gatherings. Bathrooms pair ceramic tile shower surrounds with solid wood vanities and marble countertops. Working with homeowners who were a pleasure to collaborate with made this project especially rewarding.
